Mrs Clinton, Please do not Come to Nigeria!

Dear Mrs. Hillary Clinton: Good afternoon ma. I hope this letter meets you in good condition of health. If so, doxology. Apologies that I had to send the letter by DHL. I was going to email it but it occurred to me that an email written by a Nigerian living in Nigeria may not pass through the eye of the needle of the powerful Nigerian 419 email spam blocker now installed in all American government computers in accordance with the provisions of the 30th Amendment to the US Constitution otherwise known as the Nigerian Amendment. I also tried to send the letter to you through your Under-Secretary of State to Nigeria, Mr Ojo Maduekwe, but was told that he was not planning one of his infrequent trips to Nigeria from his base in the US any time soon. And It Came To Pass!

And it came to pass that on the 29th day of the fifth month of the year 2011, the people of the land of Sodom placed their backs on the ground and spread their two legs so wide apart that each leg reacheth unto opposite sides of the earth. And Moloch Yaddie and his children looketh unto and into the wide open vagina that has been given unto them to rape for another four years and there was great merriment and rejoicing and they got drunk on the good wine they had looted from the land of Cana. And when the foams of wine cleared from their eyes, it came to pass that Moloch Yaddie and his children built a mighty altar to Beelzebub, their munificent god and inspiration, slaughtered all the cattle from the place from whence cometh the groundnut pyramids of the past, and gave thanks and praises to Beelzebub.

The Challenge Of Inter-religious Dialogue In Nigeria

You know, I have never really considered the distinction between ‘What a thing is itself’ on the one hand, and ‘how people perceive it’ as something to be taken seriously. I simply just ignore the distinction, which has been my own mistake. But the question of a ‘what a thing is’, is fundamentally different from ‘how we perceive it’. The question of what a thing is, attempts to discover the ‘essential element or the substance’ of that thing, while the question of how we perceive it attempts to explore the various opinions we have about the subject. For example, when we ask the question, ‘What is David?’ and we answer, ‘David is a rational being’, by calling David a rational being, we intend to express what essentially distinguishes David from goat or a dog. But if we were to ask Daniel how he perceives David, we would most likely hear, ‘he is Irish’, ‘he is cool’, ‘he is smart’ etc., but these are mere personal opinions or perceptions Daniel has about David, which may most likely differ from the way Luke perceives Daniel.

Yar'Adua, The G-8 And Other Matters

"CONGRATULATIONS, they finally invited our man"

"Who is your man?"

"UMYA"

"Who is that?"

"President Umaru Musa Yar'Adua"

"So, who has invited him to what? And why the excitement"

"The G-8. President Yar'Adua as we speak is in Italy attending the G-8 meeting. Recognition at last! Halleluyah o. I think when the man comes, he is likely to throw a big party."

"I don't see what the big deal is all about. Is it the same G8 which is yet to keep its promises to the underdeveloped countries of Africa and which in the face of the facts is claiming that it has spent $13 billion to address the food crisis in the continent? But the truth is that the G-8 countries have reduced aid to Africa. We should be talking about the G-8 playing politics with its own promises."
